Joan’s love of acting began in school plays and community theatre productions in suburban Texas, quickly becoming a place where she could be herself, focus her energy, and build community. Over the next 15 years, Joan dedicated her education to the arts, and her love of performing brought her all over the world, from the off-off Broadway theaters of New York City to the Royal Mile of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. From theatre, Joan also discovered her passion for film, acting in numerous shorts, features, shows, and short videos. Along with acting, Joan is also an avid writer across stage and screen. She has cultivated a deep passion for new work development, and loves performing scripts with binders in a living room just as much as in a theatre or on a set. Over the course of the last year, Joan has also begun acting in her own films, including Marwood Murder House and GIRL IN UR FEED.
